CHAPTER 06 · NETHERLANDS
UWV conversations, forms and deadlines
Read every UWV letter in full and immediately add the stated response date to your Life Planner. The deadline and instructions in your personal letter always take precedence over Grovea’s general explanation.
Step by step
-
1
Register every message
Record the date received, reference, subject, sender, required action and deadline. Store the original letter securely.
-
2
Prepare for conversations
Create a short timeline, write down your questions and keep contract and contact details to hand.
-
3
Submit information through the correct channel
Use Mijn UWV, the designated form or the postal address in the letter. Send medical information only through the medical channel.
-
4
Confirm follow-up arrangements
After a conversation, record who will do what and by which date. Ask for an explanation if anything remains unclear.
Deadlines and responsibilities
- Employee: remain contactable, provide the correct information on time and report changes.

WHEN HELP IS NEEDED
Do not wait while a deadline is running
If you cannot meet a deadline or attend an appointment, contact UWV before the deadline through the channel stated in the letter and keep confirmation.
Grovea does not replace a doctor, lawyer, occupational physician (bedrijfsarts) or a UWV decision. Always check your personal letter and the current official source.
